Minute by the Governor
The Acting Colonial Secretary.
Green has been to see me this morning and earnestly pleaded that his case may again be brought to this Council's notice. I hope that consideration may be given to his long service and good conduct during which but few serious complaints have been made against him. He states that he worked for years as a chain-gang guard, which is arduous, and that after such length of service it will be particularly hard on him to be severely fined for beating a prisoner.
